Since the prices for the food at dollar stores are so low, you can stock up. Purchase all of your canned goods from there as well. While at the dollar store, look to see if they have sales papers. In the sales paper, they may coupons that you can clip out to save even more money on your food items. When clipping coupons, you can buy a limited amount of the item.
Visit drugstores that offer food items. They will have sales papers where you will see what items they have on sale for the week. Some of the sales may include purchasing a certain amount of items and receiving cash back. The cash back can be used to purchase more goods. Obtain a drugstore card where can receive a discount every time you make a purchase. Over time, you can receive more cash back.
Grocery stores offer loyalty cards also. The items that are on sale will have a tag underneath it. The only way you can receive the item on sale is by using your loyalty card. Receive additional discounts by finding a coupon center in the store. Just place the loyalty card underneath the coupon center and a couple of coupons will come out.
There is no way a person shouldn't be able to buy some groceries each month. They may have to change their eating habits in order for it to work.
